X3D Fritz - Kasparov
There was no any considerable struggle in this game. The contenders acted very cautiously. The Queen's Gambit accepted was played. In this opening Black aspires to the quickest equalization of chances, but it demands from him a lot of theoretical knowledge.
On the 12th move White has started the assault at the center. This continuation met already in the games of Kramnik against Anand and ... Kasparov.
Kasparov did not dare to sacrifice his Queen - 13...Nxd5 14. Rad1 Nf4 with not bad counter-chances.
Up to the 18th move the game followed the game Dorfman - Kharlov, France 2001(it is interesting that both contenders worked at the team of Kasparov), in which Black did not feel serious troubles to get the peaceful result.
Further, after the next moves the most of the fighting units were gone and the game ended in a tie - the satisfactory result for both sides.

Konstantin Sakaev GM Konstantin Sakaev

The game followed according to the theory almost till the end and as a result - absence of any struggle.
It is difficult to understand the decision of computer to simplify position by 18.Bxf6. I have a feeling that the machine was programmed for a draw in this game.
18.Re2 could keep the tension of the struggle, as it was in the game Dorfman - Kharlov. Despite of the drawn result, Black had the certain problems in that game - 18.Re2 Rxe2 19.Qxe2 Be7 20.Qd3 Qa5 21.Bxf6 Bxf6 22.Nxd5 Qxa2 23.Nxf6+ gxf6 and this position is not so simple for Black as it seems at first glance because the Knight is stronger than Bishop and the pawn's structure of Black is poor. Surely, White has no many chances here too, but it is not so easily to defend such a position against computer since the defence here demands the steady calculation of the petty tactics. That is why I wonder at the decision of computer to play 18.Bxf6, which has led to the quick draw.
On the whole, reckoning up the result of the match, I would like to say that only the 1st game was interesting. The game was typical for the struggle Man vs. Machine. And the chess content was on the tolerable level then.
The second game has finished by the terrible blunder, in the third one it was a feeling that the chessplayer of the 3rd category played for Black(the coarse mistakes like a6-a5 and e5-e4, which deprived him of the counter-play), and the fourth game did not justify our hopes for a struggle - firstly it developed promisingly, was played interesting opening variation, but then the machine cut down the game suddenly and the quick draw happened.
Well, one more match Man vs. Machine has ended in the traditional tie. Whatever happens during the course of these matches, but the result is the same - the draw. Seemingly this result is suitable for both side - man does not lose his prestige, the computer firms the volume of their sales.
To tell the truth the match has disappointed me. All of us the chess amateurs and the chess professionals expected much more interesting struggle.
