M.I.Chigorin's memorial

The regulations

The VIII open international chess tournament "Chigorin's Memorial" will take place October 31 (arrival) - November 10, 2000 with Swiss system, 9 rounds. The tournament is devote to 150-years of M.I.Chigorin, who was the founder of the Russian chess school. On 31st October there will be the opening ceremony of the tournament, the 10th November in the evening the tournament will be closed.

Accommodation conditions.

The grandmasters with FIDE rating 2600 and higher are accepted by the organizers' charges with the settlement for the hotel fee (1-room) and meals.
The grandmasters with FIDE rating under 2600 are accepted by the organizers' charges with the settlement for the hotel fee (2-room) and meals.
The international masters with rating 2500 and higher are accepted without tournament fee. Other international masters pay the tournament fee:
rating: 2450 and higher - $10
2400 and higher - $20
2350 and higher - $30
2300 and higher - $40
< 2300 - $50
The players without the title of international masters are accepted on their own charges and have to pay the tournament fee:
rating: 2500 and higher - $10
2450 and higher - $20
2400 and higher - $30
2350 and higher - $40
2300 and higher - $50
2250 and higher - $60
2200 and higher - $70
< 2200 - $80
without any rating - $100

Prizes

Total Prize Money - $15.000
1 prize - $3.000
2 prize - $2.500
3 prize - $2.000
4 prize - $1.500
5 prize - $1.000
6 prize - $600
7-10 prizes - $400
11-15 prizes -$300
16-20 prizes -$200
In case of share places all prizes will be divided equally between participants. Additional prizes are set (for the best result in the range 2400-2499, 2300-2399, < 2300 if there are not less than 10 participants in each range). In the case of points equality the Buhgolts coefficient will be calculated. Participants may receive only one prize.
