The Shahcom electronic chessboard is made of quality hardwood with inlaid squares. The tournament size board consists of 55x55 mm (2.2") squares 18 mm thick. The Staunton style wooden pieces come with a king of 96 mm (3.8") in height. Each square of the chessboard is extremely sensitive and the computer "sees" a piece even at the edge of a square. Analyzing with the three dimensional chessboard you can focus your attention completely on the board which is much less distracting and less tiring than watching a computer monitor. You can look at the monitor only when you want to know what the computer thinks of your analysis. ECB is connected to a computer's standard serial or USB port on an IBM PC compatible computer.
